Bladder Leiomyoma Confused with Ureterocele

Abstract

|
|
Most of bladder tumors are malignant, transitional cell type and leiomyoma of urinary bladder is a rare, benign mesothelial tumor. The clinical importance of leiomyoma is slight, however, the symptoms of leiomyoma vary due to the location and size of the tumor. Most bladder leiomyoma are discovered by the voiding dysfunction and cured by complete resection. We report the case of an intramural bladder leiomyoma, misrecognized as ureterocele.
